We all have our own personal New Year’s Resolutions and good for those who share these personal promises publicly!  For those who prefer to keep your resolutions private, that’s OK too. However, if you happen to be a public agency, the choice to remain silent is no option.<\/p>\n

In that light, we’re happy to share an update about one of our favorite subjects that our own City of El Paso<\/a> has earmarked as one of their many resolutions to improve our community in which you live and work in and out of your apartment in El Paso<\/a>.<\/p>\n

It’s all about bike paths this spring when the City of El Paso focuses on a variety of improvements to enhance the biking network with a new Pedestrian and Bicycle Roadway project that wraps in and around Yarbrough, Trawood, Suma and Springwood drives.  <\/p>\n

These improvements include yet are not limited to:<\/p>\n

\n
• Resurfacing of the existing pavement<\/li>\n
• Re-striping to accommodate a safer trail system<\/li>\n
• Intersection striping and “audible” crosswalk signals<\/li>\n
• Bike boxes and appropriate paint for ‘conflict’ areas<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

   According to the City’s Facebook page, they will be hosting a community meeting on January 19, 2017 at 6:00 pm at Eastwood Knolls Elementary School located at 10000 Buckwood Avenue “to inform residents in the area about the enhancements. The Bicycle and Roadway Improvements project has an approximate budget of $316,000, and is part of the City of El Paso’s commitment to enhance El Paso’s regional transportation system.<\/p>\n
